Bulk Chemical Trucking

DOT-compliant hazardous chemical transport throughout Florida and the Southeast. HazMat certified drivers, DOT 412 and 407 tankers, and the regulatory standing to move your most demanding chemical freight.

The Core of What We Do

Bulk chemical trucking is Meka's primary service and the foundation of our operations. We haul industrial and agricultural hazardous chemicals in bulk liquid form — safely, compliantly, and on schedule — for chemical distributors, manufacturers, and industrial end-users throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Our fleet of DOT 412 and DOT 407 stainless steel tank trailers is purpose-configured for corrosive, hazardous, and non-hazardous chemical transport. Every driver holds both HazMat and Tanker CDL endorsements — not just for compliance, but because chemical transport requires a level of operational discipline that general freight carriers don't maintain.

Years of dedicated chemical hauling in Florida have given us deep experience in the specific lanes, facilities, and handling requirements of the state's chemical distribution network. That operational knowledge translates directly to reliable service for every client we serve.

Common Questions

Bulk Chemical Trucking — FAQ

What types of chemicals does Meka haul?

Meka hauls industrial and agricultural hazardous chemicals in bulk liquid form, including caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), potassium hydroxide, liquid alum, sulfuric acid, and similar corrosive and hazardous commodities. All hauls are conducted under full HazMat carrier authorization with appropriate placarding and documentation.

What DOT trailer specifications do you use for chemical transport?

Meka operates DOT 412 and DOT 407 tank trailers — DOT 412 for corrosive and hazardous liquid transport, and DOT 407 for non-hazardous and general chemical cargo. We also hold a DOT Mini-Bulk Permit (DOT 41212) for intermediate bulk container transport. We do not haul fuel or compressed gases, so DOT 406, MC 331, or MC 338 trailers are not part of our fleet.

Are Meka drivers HazMat certified?

Yes. Every Meka driver holds both a HazMat endorsement and a Tanker endorsement on their Commercial Driver's License. This applies to all power unit operators including straight truck drivers, who are required to hold the tanker endorsement for IBC tote transport under DOT regulatory requirements.

What is your service area for bulk chemical trucking?

Meka currently operates throughout Florida and into the Southeast — including active lanes to Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, Fort Myers, Naples, Savannah GA, and all major Florida metro markets. All current routes are structured as day routes operating from our Tampa base.

What is your USDOT number and MC number?

Meka's USDOT number is 3461404 and our Motor Carrier number is MC1129972. Both are publicly verifiable through the FMCSA Safer System.

Do you offer temperature-sensitive or specialized chemical transport?

Our current fleet is configured for ambient-temperature bulk liquid chemical transport. Contact us to discuss specific commodity requirements and we can advise on feasibility and equipment compatibility.
